5 Waterfall Furniture Makeovers

Happy Friday, friends!

This week, I thought we'd take a little trip through the My Repurposed Life archives!

Over the years, I've rescued quite a few pieces of vintage waterfall furniture. You know the kind, with those pretty rounded edges? Some were in decent shape, while others needed a LOT of love.

These five projects span several years, including a few oldies you may have missed. It's fun to look back and see how differently each piece turned out!

Kids Camouflage Desk

This damaged waterfall desk got a second chance as a kid-sized camouflage desk! I shortened the desk, added rope drawer pulls, and even gave it a chalkboard top. Definitely not your typical vintage furniture makeover!

Sweet Pink Art Deco Vanity

A $5 thrift store vanity became a pretty pink desk with delicate floral transfers. Of course, the first paint color didn't work out as planned. Sometimes you just have to change direction!

Waterfall Dresser Saved from the Dumpster

This poor dresser had peeling veneer and years of damage from being stored in a damp shed. It was headed for the dumpster when I rescued it! A little repair work and a pretty blue-and-white paint job made all the difference.

Waterfall Dresser Makeover with Paint and Stain

Here's one from way back in the archives! This free dresser was covered in graffiti, but I knew it was worth saving. I stripped and stained the drawers and top, then painted the rest navy blue. I still love that paint-and-natural-wood combination!

Waterfall Vanity Gets a Whole New Purpose

This $5 vanity is another old favorite! The original center section was too low to be practical as a desk, so I took it apart and raised the middle. With black paint and a little creative carpentry, it became a useful desk. Sometimes you have to think beyond a simple paint job!

Thrifted Side Table Makeover

This little thrift store find is getting some extra attention lately! It's another reminder that an inexpensive piece of furniture can turn into something special with a little creativity.

It's been fun revisiting these projects. Some of my techniques may have changed over the years, but one thing hasn't: I still hate seeing good furniture end up in the trash!

Do you have a favorite of these five makeovers? I'd love to know which one you'd bring home. Just hit reply to share your thoughts.

Happy DIYing!

a very vintage footstool

Hi friends! I found the perfect little footstool for my camper, but it needed a bit of a makeover before I brought it inside. I gave it a fresh coat of paint and used a Happy Camper T-shirt that was too small for me. Now it’s just right for propping up my feet while I work on my laptop. Lulu Mae found a use for it, too! 🐾 See the small footstool makeover While you’re there, be sure to check out my other footstool makeovers for more ideas! gail
